TPM Academy of Michigan
The TPM Academy trains business, workforce, economic development, and education leaders on the Talent Pipeline Management® framework, a demand-driven strategy to create career pathways for students and workers with talent pipelines aligned to dynamic business needs.
The Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) in partnership with the US Chamber of Commerce is hosting the TPM Academy for workforce professionals and employers that prioritize diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) with an emphasis on Registered Apprenticeship.
All participants in the TPM Academy are required to commit to attend the online training sessions, as well as one in-person workshop. There are eight strategy modules comprised of 5 to 9 units each. Learners can estimate 2-4 hour of seat time per eLearning module. Participation in on-line learning will be self-paced with the exception of a virtual Orientation (approximately 2.5 hours) which will provide an overview of the framework, the TPM Academy experience, and an introduction to Michigan-based mentors. The U.S. Chamber Foundation will offer at least two check-in webinars for TPM Academy participants to offer support with learners’ understanding of the TPM framework.
Upon graduating the TPM Academy you will become part of the National Learning Network, a collaborative group that will support your efforts beyond your TPM Academy experience. You also have the opportunity to take the TPM summative assessment and receive your Talent Supply Chain Manager digital badge.
