Deb Lyzenga has a demonstrated history of working in the government administration industry. In 2018, she began working at the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) as the State Administrative Manager for Workforce Development. In this role, she applied her regional workforce experience to spearhead state-level projects and initiatives, promoting employer collaboratives and talent pipeline management. In 2022, Deb became the Industry Engagement Division Administrator. The Industry Engagement Division promotes demand-driven workforce development strategies to help attract, retain, and develop talent in high-growth industry sectors. Prior to her time at the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Deb worked in various roles involving nonprofit work, career counseling, and workforce development. Deb holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Government Administration from Grand Valley State University.
