Michigan Talent Architect, Learning & Development, Consumers Energy

Sharon Miller leads the Michigan Talent Architecture Coalition for Consumers Energy. The Coalition is a statewide group of leaders from business, industry, labor, government, education, and associations who recognize the threat to economic development and prosperity posed by a shortage of skilled workers, particularly in the industries of energy, construction, and manufacturing.

Miller is the former vice chancellor of external affairs at Oakland Community College, the state’s largest community college. During her 30-year career at the college, she also served as dean of economic and workforce development, director of corporate training, and manager of the Center for Dislocated Workers. Her experience is specialized in the areas of economic development, customized training design, corporate partnerships, strategic planning, and collaboration leadership.
