Latasha Harris is a visionary leader with more than fifteen years of dedicated service in education and workforce development. As Senior Director of Workforce Strategy at the Memphis Medical District Collaborative (MMDC), she has spearheaded a transformational shift in healthcare training, tripling local hires earning living wages and positioning MMDC at the forefront of equitable workforce solutions.
Earlier in her career, Latasha served as Director of Programs for Communities In Schools of Memphis, where she forged deep collaborations with school districts and community organizations to expand student support services to over 10,000 young people in just three years. At Porter‑Leath—Shelby County’s longest‑standing social services agency—she led a high‑performing team dedicated to empowering TANF recipients through tailored skills training, proactive coaching, and comprehensive resource navigation.
A lifelong learner and connector, Latasha is an alumna of the Aspen Institute’s Workforce Leadership Academy, Leadership Tennessee Next, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Talent Pipeline Management program. She serves with joy and purpose as a board member of the Greater Memphis Workforce Development Board and as Region 3 Director for the National Association for Workforce Development Professionals.
