The Career Readiness TPM Academy of North Carolina
The Career Readiness TPM Academy® is a training developed by the U.S. Chamber Foundation that seeks to enhance partnerships between community colleges and sub-baccalaureate programs and employers to improve completion, credential attainment and employment and career advancement, particularly for people of color.
The Career Readiness TPM Academy of North Carolina is a partnership with the North Carolina Chamber Foundation and North Carolina Community Colleges. Individuals from colleges, employers, workplace professionals and chambers of commerce, should apply if their organization is looking to use talent pipeline development strategies in meaningful ways during and after the TPM Academy program. We recognize that attending the Academy alone will not result in change for your community—it will require your commitment to identifying, developing, and integrating tactics throughout your approach.
All participants in the TPM Academy are required to commit to attend the online training sessions, as well as two in-person workshops, between August and November. There will be a self-paced learning component as well as a weekly virtual training session which will include exercises and group discussion to ensure the learning is valuable and applicable to the participants.
Upon graduating the TPM Academy you will become part of the National Learning Network, a collaborative group that will support your efforts beyond your TPM Academy experience. You also have the opportunity to take the TPM summative assessment and receive your Talent Supply Chain Manager digital badge.
With questions regarding the academy, please email Andrew Meehan at andrew@relateadvocacy.com.

You will complete the e-learning modules for each TPM strategy on your own time similar to the on-demand format, however, you will also be paired with a group of learners going through the content at the same time as you. Just like signing up for an online class, you will have both individual and group assignments, as well as live class sessions with a facilitator and your cohort members. In addition to the virtual components of the course, the Career Readiness TPM Academy of North Carolina will include two in-person workshops.
There are seven strategy modules comprised of 5 to 9 units each. You will complete the eLearning modules on your own time. You can expect each strategy to take an estimated 2-4 hours of seat time.
