TPM Leadership & Engagement FAQ

We are incredibly grateful for our faculty, fellows and other TPM practitioners for your continued leadership and engagement within the network. Without you, TPM would not be what it is today and can be in the future. To help support new TPM Academy graduates, please sign up for any of the 2023 engagement opportunities listed below. We’ve also included an FAQ of our most commonly asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Engagement Types

For those who went through the TPM Faculty Master Class series, you are now able to participate in TPM Academies alongside U.S. Chamber Foundation staff as faculty members. Please use this Google document to sign up for sessions.

You will be equipped with the tools to be successful in teaching, including the TPM Academy Facilitator’s guide and additional resources (i.e., facilitation slide decks will include key messages for each unit and each slide to ensure you cover the most important points while integrating your own experiences). Compensation for an in-person two-day training session is $1500 (plus all travel expenses) and $150 per hour for a virtual session.

TPM Co/Lab Cohorts requires the same prerequisites as other faculty opportunities. However, here are two main differences between co/lab and a traditional academy facilitation session.

  1. Instead of signing up for one two-day in-person commitment or 4-6 hour virtual commitment you would commit to eight 2.5 hour sessions over 10-12 weeks (please see the schedule for the course dates).
  2. Instead of teaching the theory you would be facilitating discussion around application and case studies.

Each TPM Co/Lab cohort will be assigned two faculty members that will share coverage of the 8 virtual sessions (I.e., you could split four for one faculty and the other four sessions for the other faculty member). You choose the date and time each week that the class will meet. It would be up to the faculty members who would cover which session, and should you wish, you can co-facilitate a session.

Compensation for oversight of a TPM Co/Lab cohort is $6,825.

Mentors play an important role in a person’s TPM Academy learning experience and hopefully help them feel more connected to the NLN once they have completed the Academy. Therefore, we will introduce mentors as soon as a cohort begins as part of the onboarding to the Academy. You will be supplied with the bios for your mentees and be asked to check in with them once a month to not only inquire about their group projects but also about their Academy learning experience and how they are thinking about using the framework. Participating in a mentor orientation will be required. Compensation to serve as a mentor is $700.

As part of the learning experience for Academies facilitated via TPM Co/Lab, we host 30 minute “Meet the Expert” sessions with our TPM partners. Learners find it valuable to hear directly from those who implement TPM, and the time commitment is less strenuous. Many of you participated in these sessions during our pilots. Please use this Google document to sign up for sessions. There is no compensation associated with Meet the Expert.

Our team is asked to participate in speaking engagements frequently and feel that at times, it is valuable for our partners with firsthand implementation experience to participate in our place. We will present these opportunities on a case-by-case basis.

Payment

In order to be paid for an engagement opportunity or travel reimbursement (see more information on reimbursements below), you must supply a W9 for the entity or individual that payment should be made out to.

Unless requested by you to receive payment immediately after participating in an engagement opportunity, we plan to aggregate payments at the conclusion of each calendar year.

If you receive more than $600 in one calendar year, you will receive a 1099 from the Chamber.
