Miami Tech Works TPM Academy

The TPM Academy® is a training developed by the U.S. Chamber Foundation that seeks to enhance partnerships between employers and their talent supply chain partners. The TPM Academy is facilitated by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and is supported by a customized curriculum that serves as an employer handbook giving participants the knowledge, skills and abilities to implement talent supply chain solutions on behalf of their employer collaborative members.

In partnership with Miami Tech Works, the TPM Academy will bring together workforce, employer and education leaders over a four-month period to learn the TPM framework together. This framework will build a foundation for advancing workforce development in the region.

Miami Tech Works understands that workforce development is one of the most important challenges for employers. Their goal with this Academy is to enhance collaboration amongst key stakeholders in the region including academic partners, employers, and community organizations around workforce development and talent strategy.

All participants in the TPM Academy are required to commit to participate in the self-paced eLearning, as well as one in-person workshop.  There are eight strategy modules comprised of 5 to 9 units each.  Learners can estimate 2-4 hour of seat time per eLearning module.  Participation in online learning will be self-paced with the exception of a virtual Orientation (approximately 1.5 hours) which will provide an overview of the framework and the TPM Academy experience.

Upon graduating the TPM Academy you will become part of the National Learning Network, a collaborative group that will support your efforts beyond your TPM Academy experience.  You will also have the opportunity to take the TPM summative assessment and receive your Talent Supply Chain Manager digital badge.
